CARLO SCARPA AND CASTELVECCHIO MUSEUM IN VERONA

Modeling four rooms of Carlo Scarpa Castelvecchio’ s Museum was the theme of an academic course at the University IUAV of Venice. Modeling was made through the Autodesk Autocad 2007. Rendering was done in 3D Studio Max Mental Ray. This model gives a subjective interpretation of the venetian architect’s work at Castelvecchio. The purpose wasn’t to represent only the interior space, rather to give the viewers the capacity to learn something else beyond the artworks. The partition walls’ trasparency, for example, wants to underline the continuity of the architect’s intervention. In the same way, the full opacity of masterpieceses inside let read the univocal sign of Carlo Scarpa.
